Apart from the new branding, the company decided it was time for new packaging. Seeking to enhance the user experience, they introduced high-quality, resealable zip bags to maintain the cookies' freshness once opened. Each flavor was meticulously color-matched, and we designed linear art consistent with the logo, resulting in vibrant and eye-catching packaging.
Douglas Sweets is a Scottish shortbread company based in the green mountains of Vermont. The women owned business made up of a mother-daughter duo has introduced shortbread with a unique twist of chocolate, spice and exciting flavors. The company has been producing traditional premium quality shortbread since 2012. Therefore, the challenge was to create a branding that looked both traditional and modern.
a brand that modernizes tradition
Their original logo featured a bagpiper, a motif they wished to retain in the redesign, but with a modern twist. We opted for a simplified linear art approach and selected a font to evoke a sense of tradition. This linear art style became the cornerstone of the brand's visual identity. We extended this style to create unique illustrations for their various flavors, each accentuated with its own distinct color.
